New Wigan Warriors head coach Adrian Lam has placed high importance on keeping the production of quality young talent going at the club under his tenure.

Former coach Shaun Wane and Wigan’s ethos was always on giving the young players coming through the system a chance, which bared fruit with a number of household names now a regular fixture in the cherry and white jersey.

Lam has admitted to wanting to add his own flavour to the squad in certain areas but was adamant he would also provide opportunities to the next batch of talent.

“Wigan are renowned for their junior production line and I’m looking forward to trying to finding the next superstar. I’ve told all of the (young players) that it’s a fresh slate and I could see some eyes getting excited about the opportunities ahead,” Lam told Wigan Today.
